Mars, the maker of the Skittles, launched a revised homepage at Skittles.com that strongly embraces social media. Instead of displaying the generic looking website that describes information about  the product or videos and games associated with the product, Skittles.com features user-created by consumers mostly sourced from other websites. Posted on the site last week was the Skittles article from Wikipedia and posts from Twitter. The Mars company stated this move was designed to better connect with its core teenage audience, which spends plenty of time using social media.
