July 24th, 2009A New Kitchen
I am all about renovating, decorating, and improving my house in any way possible. That’s because we plan to sell in about five years and are very concerned with resale value, and making sure that our property and house will fetch top dollar when we finally do put them on the market. We know that houses with modern renovated kitchens fetch a higher value than those with older looking kitchens, as the cooking and eating spaces are among the most used and important rooms in any home. For that reason we are currently planning to remodel our kitchen and deck it out with granite or marble counter tops (both are beautiful so we haven’t decided which one we will go with yet), new cupboards, stainless sinks, and a tile floor.
If you’re also renovating your ktichen, or are planning to reonvate it sometime in the future, you should definitely consider how the items you install will effect the resale value of your home. I know that for many people if a house does not have a nice kitchen they will simply pass on it in favor of one that does. Most folks are not up for major renovations and would prefer not to have to upgrade the kitchen themselves.
