It sure seems odd to be writing about the Microsoft Zune today, because generally a post concerning a digital music player would tend to be pertaining to an Apple product, such as the very cool iPod touch, or even a Nano or Shuffle. Nevertheless here I am writing about the Microsoft Zune as there is some rather interesting developments being reported from the Zune folks these days. You see, Microsoft is apparently readying to release a next generation Zune that will feature a bevvy of improvements over the current model. At this point we have no idea on a possible price, however it is heavily speculated that the unit will include improvements usch as a touchscreen, WiFi connectivity, a preinstalled IE web browser and a radio tuner.

What’s also set to be cool about the new Zune is that it’s going to work with the Xbox Live Marketplace, so Zune users should have the ability to access the complete Xbox Live library of movies and tv shows to watch on their Zune.
